This is fairly subjective, but which readings / formula memorizations provide the best return on your time in terms of exam preparedness? For example, I found learning the different equity valuation models were pretty easy to learn given how much weight they’re given on the exam. Portfolio management accounts for fewer questions but required very little time invested to learn a few formulas that help answer the bulk of pm questions.
whats the best time-reward payoff in your opinion?

Just to flip the question a little, I think Alt Investments has to be the worst in terms of quantity of material they can test on vs points up for grabs.

I dont think portfolio management is too bad and u can cover the entire section pretty well in 1 day.. I agree that Alternative Investments sucks, especially all of the real estate valuation methods.. Im also getting my a** kicked by Derivatives on every mock I take.

Based on ROTI
Ethics 2 Chapters 2 Sets
Equity 5 Chapters (DDM,FCFF,Multiples,Residuals,Pvt Company) 3 sets
FRA 3 Chapters(Multinatiional,Compensastion,Intercorporate) 3 sets
11 chapters, 40% of the exam, Fair deal

i would agree derivatives. people write off the section, get scared of the formulas etc. but once you get it, it’s free points , ebcause ther’s nothing gray area about the section. you either know it or not.
