Anything like that?
I don’t think so, but I’m sure it helped seeing as not many candidates score >70. Could have been pure luck in his or her case…

This person failed only three subjects. The middle tier scores might have been on the high end, and the high tier scores might have been nearly perfect. The possibilities are endless withouth knowing the actual numbers…

Just assume he got the max score in every section and it comes out to 84 points.. But its likely he passed with less than 65% if you assume he got a couple mid ranges

Max possible score below:-
Alt-6/6
Corp fin-8/12
Derivatives-12/12
Economics-3/6
Equity-16/24
Ethics-12/12
FRA-12/24
FI-4/6
PM-6/12
Quant-6/6
Max score is 85 points but thats by assuming that he literally killed some sections like ethics, derivatives etc.
I dont think this can be the case.
Its quite likely he may have got something like 80-81. I have seen a min possible score of 78/120 failing the exam in 2014.

Max 85 is one hypothesis. I think this guy must get an excellent score on ethic. With a high ethical score, it should be passed with 65%, otherwise, it would be safe with more than 66.66% (40/60 for both AM and PM)

HERE IS THE HOLY GRAIL..
MAX SCORE 76/120 63.33% PASS.. posted in 2014 results thread

There was a problem with the way he used formatting on the page he posted his results. Maybe, this isn’t the correct picture

Its formatted the same way many other results are posted.. Its correct as is MAX score assuming 50/70/100.. in this case he didn’t get any section above 70 and passed with a 63.33% total

The user is has been posting in level 3 forum so I don’t see the point of lying here.. He passed with a 63.3% which may be the lowest possible score and thr hard MPS

Indeed, it is. I can see myself scoring similar to this.
Based on what I’ve read and heard, 63% is typically a pass…

i know I maybe going into unnecessary detail here but u ppl urself see the length of the dash in say equity investments. The guy scored in the middle range it appears. Both the dashes towards the left and the right should be symmetric and of equal length. But the length of left dash is too long. It maybe the case that he scored 70+ in this subject. Same with Ethics.

I sent the user a PM to come here and clear it up.. Problem is that he specifically said “it was a close call..”
The formatting issues is that if you type two “-” “-” next to each other it becomes – a long dash

The way I interpret it is that he/she scored >70 on Ethics, Equity, and Corp. Fin.

Thanks for giving us hope. And I can’t see the MPS be less than 63.3%? I mean can you guys see it any less, how can the MPS be less than 62%?
I guess it can be that low if the exam was super hard that year?
