A quick question, if an applicant gets declined for admission to B-school and if he/she applies to the same school the following year, does the school requires the applicant to re-submit new set of reference letters?

i thought it was no? i thought they just asked for an essay about what has changed since you last applied?

It's usually no. You just have a re-application essay. You coudl probably resubmit references, but don't need to.

If the first set of referrences didn't get you in, you may want to try new ones...

But the thing is, its hard to tell if the references were the cause for not being admitted?

I think it depends from school to school. But i do feel you dont have to submit your GMAT let me know which university are you talking abt I will be an better position to answer question
Thanks
