Middle name not on CFA exam ticket

My middle name is on my passport but is not showing on my exam ticket. Everything else matches exactly. Does anyone know if this is a problem?
 
I had the same issue last year, and got my permit changed the day before (very stressful..) You may be fine, but it’s not worth the risk, submit the change form on the CFAI website ASAP and it should be changed in time.
 
think as long as the passport number matches you should be fine but it probably wouldn’t hurt to call CFA next week just in case?
 
You won’t enter the exam, email the CFAI just right now, they will make the correct in a little time.
Note that the ticket explicitly states that the passport info and the ticket info must match exactly.
Also, in the “important reminder” section of the ticket you are encouraged to contact the institute in case there is a mistake (asap).

Hi James.. Thanks for the reply. How far in advance did you submit your name/identification change form for them to change it for you the day before?
 
I submitted it the day before the test (in the morning). It took a few hours but they changed it. If you request it today they should be able to do it in a couple of days.
 
This happened to me last year and I never noticed it. They still let me into the exam.
 
Maybe it depends on exam place. I am quite sure you would not be let to enter to hall in Germany.
 
There is a form on CFA website. Pretty sure you 100% need to get it changed - I had to change mine last year. Don’t take the risk and get to it now.
 
This happened to me last year! My friend pointed it out to me 2 weeks before the exam. I immediately called cfai and they said to scan in a copy of passport and name change form. The guy was very nice because i was panicing on the phone and he said it happens all the time. They corrected it within a day after sending them the email with the form. Don’t leave it to chance. Change it asap.
 
Agreed with those who say don’t take the risk. Email in the form and print a new ticket once it includes your middle name. You don’t want to leave all the work you’ve put into preparing (presumably) in the hands of an exam day proctor.
 
I have sent in the form to have my middle name added to my exam ticket. Now I just need to wait out the long weekend and hope they get it changed for me next week. Thanks everyone.
 
What happened in your Level 1?
Happened to me last year, got it changed within 2 days.
 
Definitely change it before you go in. However, I found the exam environment to be extremely casual and relaxing as compared to the rules and regulations on cfai website.
 
they don’t like changing names at the last min, but they’re set up for it. call, submit, change – don’t roll the dice.
