I am applying for this job:
Prepare position reports for FX, Money, Securities and Derivative Products.
Prepare profit and loss reports for FX, Money, Securities and Derivative Products.
Reconcile the positions and P/L between Front Office and Back Office.
Reconcile the Mark-to-Market figures between the booking entries with Derivative products system.
Maintain the existing macro and generate new macro if necessary.

which seems more like a back office job but the pay is comparable to that of an entry quant analyst or even higher.

Should I look for quant analyst jobs that deals with options pricing, var model instead?

A quant analyst job probably won't pay me as high as the middle office job as they are local security house and the back/middle office job is in an international known bank.

This job is back office.

Do you have an offer as quant analyst? You are talking like you have a choice. Or are you in the interview process? I would take the analyst job over anything else. Even though it might not be that much quant stuff, but more analysis/risk. Back office job in an 'international known bank' is only worth it if you wanna do back office all your life.

always prefer front office over back office, whatever the wage difference, its not about current revenues its about future cash flow and LT careers
