I would be shocked if the MPS is below 68.5 for this test. It was straight forward and easy compared to last year. I feel like the MPS is based on the percentage of candidates they want to pass. That being said I blew an easy opportunity last week as I made countless careless mistakes. #RTFQ

I agree that it’ll be a high MPS. My guess would be 69% MPS and 49% Pass Rate.
 
oh my gosh a 69% MPS?! cmon no chance in the world. Pass rate would drop to 35%. Not to mention after working through several times the 2010-2013, can’t possibly say this test was more straight forward or easier to manage time with
 
I don’t know why i waste my time in these threads. I seriously doubt there has been an MPS at level 3 even close to what you are claiming. See threads every single year proclaiming the same thing. Congrats you can be this year’s wrong poster
 
I think the MPS would atleast be 89% … maybe even higher …. the exam was just too easy

And by the way, you are wrong about how they calculate the MPS. I don’t know how there is still confusion in that regard, CFAI publishes how it is claculated. It has nothing to do with the percentage of candidates they want to pass. It entirely has to do with how difficult the graders deem the exam to be.
 
LOL people get so upset when someone says high MPS because they believe it for a second and think they failed. If you think your performance was bad enough that an internet forum estimate gets your panties in a bunch then you should fail. If you studied and worked hard…have confidence that you passed…shit. That being said 69% MPS…I got an 80% on my last practice and in the 70’s on the two before that…so I’m ok with this.

The high MPS troll post is finally up! Took a bit longer than average, but I never doubted that someone on here would break.

I think googleboy’s estimate is the most realistic.
 
Ramos but this ain’t practice. We ain’t taking bout practice. Practice? We ain’t talking bout practice .
 
I scored in the 80s multiple times on practice tests, who cares it’s meaningless. wasn’t the point the claim that the real test was much harder than the practice tests? mhmmmmm
 
Are you guys saying that our practice tests are NOT factored into our final score? Someone please confirm…
 
its just like playing a sport. Any Tom Dick and Harry can perform well when the pressue is not on them.
 
Even with an answer key, how you score the written section and how the graders score it is different.
 
I wonder which formula you are using for calculating expected MPS. Is it
MPS(exp) = beauty coefficient x (number of female procters)^1/2
or
MPS(exp) = 6 hours + guess factor x number of questions ?
Or are you just making the numbers up???
 
Surely it would be
practice exam return - 0.05 x risk score x variance
risk score = 0
