Mock Exams in May

Is the preferred strategy to only complete Mock Exams during the month of May? I’ve heard varying things. Obviously everyone is different but I wanted to get some other individual’s perspectives and plans.

I’m doing them (old CFAI) now. I’d rather get as many “real” problems in as possible. But I’m also through the curriculum and most of the BB and EOC questions, so its that time for me.
