Hey guys,
I was wondering about a couple things in relation to the morning exam that I’d appreciate your input on:
1) I can see in the past morning mocks that there are questions where you need to write in the short answers, this may seem like a silly question but where do you write these answers? will there be a separate booklet they provide for you to write in your response? I can see that some questions provides templates but some barely leaves any space for you to write in anything at all…
2) If I want to use symbols such as “↑” to represent increase, will CFAI accept this?
Thanks!!

For question 1, take a look at the 2014 and 2013 past AM exams from the CFA Institute. Those are the only 2 where they released the entire exam in the current format, including the lined pages after each question that say “Answer Question X on This Page.” That’s how the exam will be formatted, so it is good to get used to it. You’ll answer all non-tempate questions on the lined pages.
Prior to 2013 they just released the question Y& template pages of the morning exams, without the lined answer pages.
