Does anyone have thoughts on Morngstar equity research? I was thinking about applying for the analyst position that is always in the WSJ. I think I remember seeing some negative posts about them in the past.

I don't have glowing comments about the company, but it's a way into the industry if you have the passion to get in. Beats the hell out of mopping floors or painting houses waiting for a senior analyst position at a top notch firm to open up. You gotta start somewhere and often that somewhere isn't pretty.

I think their analyst reports are decent compared the typical sell-side drivel.

I'm thinking of applying to their Morningstar Development Program for recent undergrads. Any idea on when they recruit? I imagine fall like I-banks but if anyone has heard otherwise, please let me know.
