Hey guys/gals,

Just a quick background on me and how i had to take L1 twice and i'm a finance major, don't get discouraged... So yeah, I even got good grades in college 3.5GPA overall i believe haha, anyways i had to take level 1 twice to pass!!!!!!! it's rough, BUT, if you take time (aka start early), you can/will pass on your first attempt. just make sure you make notecards!!!!! i can't stress how important this is. the first time i took the test i though "oh i'll put in the hours (and i did, well over the recommended), but i didn't really take notes to review. i did buy q-bank too, and i still failed. no notes to "cram" with!

you can't cram for this test, but make little "short cuts" that you know what they mean, and you'll be able to remember the bigger picture. I hope this helps. i would give an example, but this message would be too long. i'll see how many reply and give you guys an example of what i mean if you want....

I think understanding of the syllabus is really important. And one tip that Schweser gave in Secret Sauce was the Big Picture effect. Knowing something about each and everything helps you nail some questions. Given the vast syllabus, this is really important. Leaving out a part of the syllabus totally can get you in Big Big Trouble..

Also, I think doing the heavyweights of FRA and Ethics very well is important. Any mess up with the larger weight sections and you are again in Deep Trouble..
