My name doesn't show up on CFA's membership search!

I checked the names of friends who have the charter, and friends who are candidates. They all showed up fine. When I typed in my own name, nothing showed up. Has anyone else had this problem?
I paid to enroll in August 2014 and passed the L1 in December 2014. Does my name not show up because I have to pay some annual fee or pass some ethics/background check first?

Signing up to sit for a CFA exam doesn’t make you a member of the CFA Institute.
I believe you can be one without the other.

yes being a candidate does not mean you are automitacally on the website. you must officially be a member of CFAI (two levels). this is also separate from being a CFA charterholder
