my reference for charter

I m working in a very small investment company which has only one colleague and my boss. ( total 3 person included me) , my job duties include meeting with investment banker and identify any investment opportunities. my question is if the investment bankers ( they are not employed by my boss) can be my references? I cant find the third people to be my reference in my office, thanks for help.

I don’t see why this would be an issue as they can attest to the work you do for/with them.

Wait until you have 4 years of investment-related work experience before you worry about that stuff.
