Nook vs Kindle

I understand there have been many discussion about e-book readers but is there anyone who uses NOOK to read CFAI Curriculum E-book in a pdf format? I am debating myself between Kindle and NOOK and I searched a posing relating to it but couldn’t find a good one. I am looking to get a simple e-reader(no Ipad or tablet) just for the purpose of studying a CFA Level-3. I would like to hear any feedback on how NOOK works in reading PDF’s.

I used kindle dx for reading CFAI curriculum. It was not a good experience. File size was too big for kindle to handle.

Do you get the curriculum as pdf as well? The ebook is a web interface with low resolution?
