...what next?

My boss asked me that...and I quipped " pay CFAI more money and sit for L2"

I don't as yet work in the finance field...but wonder if being a L2 candidate can land me any entry level analyst jobs...

A friend of mine from a similar Engineering background only managed to get back-office job offers with level1...

Any comments anyone?
 
It is level 1, it is nothing. What is next, ha, there are billion things that are next. How about finishing CFA program, then Masters degree, then PHD, then then then then. If you want to stay competitive and consistently increase your value to the marketplace then you must never stop learning.

well its more than nothing because nothing would be nothing. i think it definitely makes you more marketable, particularly if you arent currently working in the industry or dont have any industry experience. it demonstrates that you have a conceptual understanding of financial and accounting topics and how motivated you are to learn and work hard.
