Is there some sort of official CFA guideline on how they allocated topics/questions to the morning vs. evening sections?
What is the likelihood of seeing GIPS on the morning section for instance? Or Ethics?
What about something that is not addressed in one of the LOS on the AM section?
Please clarify if you know for sure.
Thanks.

There really isn’t an “official” allocation. You can count on one Individual IPS and one instl IPS question in the AM. GIPS was in the AM in 2006 so it has shown up before.

What about ETHICS being on the AM? Possible/likely?
Also, can CFA ask something that is not mentioned in one of LOS in the AM or not?
Thanks.

You never know until on Exam-Day :-).. You might get hint after AM paper what might be in the Afternoon sections

Ethics is possible, but not likely in AM. Hasn’t been there before and I have the feeling that the EOC questions from the book wouldn’t prepare you well for Ethics in AM. But could happen, you never know.
As for all exams, they only test what’s in the LOS. Nothing more.

Are you 100% sure? Does that mean they cannot possibly ask anything that isn’t mentioned in the LOS? Reason I ask is because there are some sections in almost every chapter that are not covered by LOS.
Would be great to know for sure for the review.
