Just logged in the CFAI’s website and saw the comma and three letters behind my name. AF friends, you’ll never know how much you guys helped me think about a concept in a new way, picked me up when stuff wasn’t going so well, or made me laugh out loud. The camaraderie I’ve had here is invaluable and it seems like a much higher percentage of L3 AFers passed than the general candidate pool. This is literally crowdsourced knowledge and inspiration and although it can seem pointless at times, it does help. Even the people I vehemently disagreed with I learned from. Thanks to everybody who reached out and helped, even if only sarcastically.
For those who didn’t pass. I know you won’t quit, but don’t get down. I know I’m only a private message away and you have much more brilliant people that will come here daily *cough, S2000, cough*. Just coming here it appears increases the probability you’ll pass (that’s unconfirmed, of course).
The charter feels good man!
 
Congrats! Had you already paid/become a regular member before results came in? Also, is the “, CFA” on the “manage account” page?
Edit - nevermind, I just got mine updated too. For those wondering, I waited to pay my dues until after the results (approximately 9:45) and just now had my title updated.

Wow you prompted me to log in and check, and it’s so oooooooo rewarding to see those 3 letters at the end of my name! Hard work does pay off after all! Well done everyone. Glad to see some of my favourite guys passed. danv0330 probably my favourite guy here, sorry to see that band 9 - stick in there you will pass next year. I know you struggled for time in AM but next year you will nail it my friend. Stick in there buddy you deserve the Charter go out there and get it, I wish you all the very best.

I did and it is under manage account under Member Directory

Question - my hours are approved, my references are approved, I passed, and I’ve just paid my dues. How long before I “get my letters”, see them after my name, and can use them?
 
I got the letters immediately after paying the membership dues…

Serious congrats to all of us who passed! Years ago, when I first read about the CFA charter, it seemed like a pipe dream to me. Though I work in the industry, I did not have a financial academic background (little math and no statistics ever) and there was a serious learning curve for me just to get through the first level. This reaffirms for me that we can push ourselves to accomplish what we set out to do. No doubt those who are still on the journey will be better armed next year with all of the insights this forum offers.
Thanks to all fellow AFers who helped me through the mindfuck of studying for and sitting through this thing.

Didn’t apply to anything, didn’t submit anything, didn’t pay anything so I guess I’ll have to wait a while. I didn’t want to paint myself in a corner with my references. Oh well, couple weeks won’t kill anyone! Congrats!!!
