Hello All,
I’m new to this site and this is my first post. I planned on taking CFA LI in December and had purchased Schweser books but hadn’t registered with CFA institute because of a side project.
I’m one of three people working on app which is taking up the majority of my free time and I have decided to postpone my first attempt at level I.
If I do end up finding time to sit for the test next June, I was wondering how much change there is between versions of the Schweser Material? Can I still use my december 2014 package? When I called Schweser to see if I could exchange my material they said there is a decent change between the two packages, but I’m sure it’s all just an attempt to get people to repurchase.
- sorry if this subject has been covered before.
Thanks

At L1, there’s probably not much change. I used two year-old books when I took L1 in December 2010, and I didn’t notice anything that had changed.
At L2 and 3, there will be some noticeable differences from year to year, though.

There’s not much that’s changed from 2014 to 2015, and there are threads on AnalystForum detailing the changes, so you can use the Schweser books for everything that hasn’t changed, and the CFA Institute books for those few that have.
Best of luck!
