I never really memorized all of the contrarian/bullish indicators- had they asked if a investor something or other ratio was at blah %, I totally would've had to stab at whether that was bullish or not. I saw this in the journal a few minutes ago and had to smile thinking I dodged a mini-bullet on one of those questions. *whew*
Who knows if this is a bullish or bearish indicator?
Anyone?
Newbies?
Nah, you're probably not there yet since it's in like SS 13 or 14.

Cash reserves in mutual funds have been falling in the past several months, reflecting a longer-term trend by money managers to stay fully invested with diversified stock portfolios, according to a research report. "Cash levels are plunging to what might be their lowest levels of all time," Bank of America strategist Thomas McManus said in an interview.

Cash positions in open-end mutual funds focused on U.S. stocks were at 3.6% of assets heading into May, he noted in a research report to clients Monday. "Fund managers now seem less prepared for potential weakness."

bearish. MFs are fully invested .ie everyone is too optimistic -good reason for a contrarian to go short.
