The reason cited was that their IT web master is going on a fishing trip this Wednesday and won't be back till Sunday afternoon. Due to the asymmetry of information at the CFAI, this was not foreseen in advance and they decided it was risky to post the results early and have the site crash.

This is really terrible..after all this long wait!

Yeah, but I heard this guy is an avid fisherman who lands some big ones! Apparently in his free time, he stars in one of those fishing shows you see on cable from time to time.

vik2000,
you fell for this one .... sad.. :(

ditch,
Already projectplatnyc (philip) did the similar thing here :

lol yea I totally fell for it. I was in an extremely horrible mood when I saw this thread, so I was quite shocked too.

I'm not trying to be ill spirited here. Since I'm a retaker, I had to deal with a slew of these that popped up after the June exam. Since nothing close to the slew from June is occurring, I thought I would spice things up.

Good, I work in a backoffice that hasn't been affected much by the market so I'm good for now. Looking for another job but hoping that completion of Level 1 will show employers that I am in fact serious of completing this designation.

Also been paranoid and hoping that Wednesday will be a good day for me.

And you?

I begin my new job on Tuesday. I've been out of work since October.

I signed up for that CAIA exam. So despite having nothing to do, I am actively trying to increase my resume credentials.

Don't get too comfortable, I was laid off from my back office position ;-). I hope you are able to find a new job, I know how much bo sucks.

ditch,
wanted to know ...which b-school are you planning to attend this fall ?
How are you managing CAIA study along with CFA level 2 this June ....
can i drop you an email offline ?

Good to hear that you are starting a new job...

Hello Charu,

I'm attending the full time MBA program at University of St. Thomas which is located in Minneapolis.

I signed up for the CAIA after a lot of due diligence. The material came at the end of December, and at this point now I have finished all the volumes, and I'm scoring mid 60s on practice exams. Quant is my low subject, and I will be able to increase that area after some practice.

I realize time will be tight, however, I do not see the CAIA interfering with my CFA studying since it is merely review right now.

I'm happy to be working again as well.

I'm never too comfortable, I always prepare for the worst but volume is high now as I work in corporate actions and we are taking on new clients who have left our competitors. Canadian banks are doing ok and are surviving so I anticipate being ok.

I just want my grade and I want it to be positive.

There's another way if you want to know whether you passed or not.. Sign in using candidate sign in, and click sign up for the June 2009 exam.. Follow the steps. If you can sign up for the level II, it means you've passed level I. It worked before for someone I know, when we were waiting for our level II results.

cfa.gendeng --- Are you sure that this works? I mean I dont see any option for L1 or L2..
