Passed Level I in Dec shooting for Level II in June

I’d be up for some sort of group study plan, just registered yesterday myself.

Hi All,
Congratulations for clearing L1 exam, Let’s get ready for the June monster !!
Please share any plans/thoughts about the way forward.

I as well just passed level 1 and will be crunchin for l2 in june. [email protected]
Whats the preference for prep material on level 2? Schweser? Id rather not spend the money on prep, but do you think its absolutely necessary to pass l2 in 4 months????

I only used CFA curriculum for L1 and plan to do the same for L2. It’s very long and dry as cr*p, but if you can grind through it, it tells you exactly what you need to emphasize by repeating it over and over. I wish I had more than four months, but what can you do…

I passed L1 in dec as well and getting ready for L2. Just registered today. Nervous given that we have only 4 months but lets give it all we got!

I m also in for the study group…also in the the bandwagon with all u ppl…Lets crack it!!!!!

well.. I decided to wait a year. It is left 120 days. If needed study time is 300 hours - You have to study 2.5h each day. And from L1 experience I can say - it is impossible to study each day. So if You skip 2 days per week - it will need to study 3.5 h per day / 5days a week.
Working full time, I’m returning home ~18:30, having some dinner, resting some time and could begin study ~19:30. +3,5h it’s already 23:00….
I’m not saying - “it’s impossible”, but to make it - you have to completely forget everything (your wife, kids, friends, movies, etc.). Thats not for me. I rather wait a little, begin study let’s say in september and will be ready for 2013 jun :)

It is difficult, and you probably will need to spend 16+ hours over every weekend.
Time management is essential especially for people already working in Finance (front office especially). 12 hour days + 2 hour commute/chores + 3 hour study time = less than 7 hours of sleep every day. Booya. Kiss your personal life goodbye.

Hi guys,
Passed my level I, Dec 2011. Need advise on how to go about passing level 2. The material is very vast and a short time frame. Any suggestion will help.
