… don’t have an MBA.
If you dont have both a CFA and MBA, dont add to the discussion.
Just sayin, cause ur probably not even in finance .
MBA = CFA

MBA = CFA or MBA == CFA or MBA === CFA? Makes a huge difference to us, programmers

Away from the topic..
comp_Sci: I’m looking to pick up a book in C++, can you suggest a good one? I have 2-3 in mind, not sure if they’re good.
Also, what is better to learn - .NET development or just a language?
I just want to learn.

I am a Java guy, so dont really know good C++ books, but in general, it is hard to become a good programmer, or should i say even a decent one without knowing fundamentals. So the question really is - do you know fundemantals?

i am saying you cant possible be a good C++ developers or even use C++ as a tool unless you know some BASIC fundamentals about memory management/data structures

I know some VBA (haha!), hence know the programming structures that comes within a VB environment. Is that fundamental at all?
Do you mean being an expert in OOO etc?

“Aimed at the experienced C++ programmer, Herb Sutter’s Exceptional C++ tests the reader’s knowledge of advanced C++ language features and idioms with several dozen programming puzzles and explanations. This book can definitely help raise your C++ class design skills to the next level.”
Keys, are you serious?

No, you dont have to be a good OO thinker to be a good efficient ‘programmer’. There is a huge difference between quant/high speed C++ Phd/Programmers and developers.
but regardless of what you want to do, you need to learn basic data structures: trees/sets/lists/arrays. Memory allocation/dealocation mechanisms, basic threading, polymorphism (inheritance)

Keys: thanks for suggesting the books, the second one looks more suited for my purpose.
Comp_Sci: are there any good resources?

y’all better leave my thread.
dont bring ur computer nerdiness to this forum.

‘y’all better leave my thread.’
‘dont bring ur computer nerdiness to this forum.’
Hilarious!
