Just throwing it out there for what it’s worth:
This morning I found out that I didn’t pass Level 3. I was SHOCKED, very shocked. I ended up in band 8. Suffice to say, I got annihilated in the AM section but did very well in the PM section.
I haven’t heard of any success story on getting test results retabulated. Although I actually don’t mind spending $100 to know that it was truly a fail.
I remember clearly walking out of the Level 3 exam and said to myself, I’d be surprised if I didn’t pass it. And looking at other postings from those who failed - you guys seem shocked as well. Like a lot of folks who didn’t pass, I didn’t think I nailed the AM section, but to have the majority sections scored less than 50% is laughable, especially the sections that I thought I nailed actually.
I can’t help but think there’s got to be a mistake somehow. I double & triple-checked my answers to ensure that I wrote on the pages and/or in the boxed where I was supposed to.
So here’s a thought - what about a petition to the CFA Institute to actually get to see our graded exam, not just a retabulation? Anyone on board? Thoughts? Comments? Please let me know.
Thanks!

I am very “surprised” that I failed all 3 PM-Individual questions as well. I guess I can only know what went wrong come next year when the 2012 essay paper is available again. And that’s provided if I can still recall what I wrote 2 months ago.

Good luck sir. By signing up and paying money, you basically sign all your rights over to them. Sorry man, better luck next year. Given the CFA is not a “necessity” and is a choice that you make. I honestly can’t see anything coming out of a petition.

Passed this morning but would be happy to aid in any efforts you mentioned above.

Sorry you failed but there’s no chance they’d ever release them.

How long have you been doing this? Not a snowball’s chance in Hades.

I had the EXACT same experience. Seems like the more you work in the industry, the more cracks you find in the CFA information.
I did level 1 and 2 on first try with no real world experience. After working in the industry 8 years later I failed level 3 twice.
Somethings not right about this.

Not sure how to get in touch on here but please contact me. Do you have an email I can use?
Thx

You could sign a million petitions with a billion signatures….this just isn’t going to happen. Like…ever…
