I’ve about to do the item-sets on the CFA website for the rest of today, do some of the CFAI AM past papers for tomorrow.
For Friday, I’m conflicted between going through Schweser’s Secret Sauce or the QBank.
Which do you think is better?
And what is everyone planning for Friday?

While I’d love to do any of those (currently watching Boston Legal), I wouldn’t be able to enjoy any of them, with the thought of exams sitting in the back of my head and constantly telling me to study. I’d much rather just study rather than do anything else

Friday morning, reading my notes again and review some topic tests and past mocks where I did badly, relaxing by going out a bit during the afternoon, reading my notes a last time before an early bed time

Reading short notes in the morning, relaxing rest of the day. You need your mind at full capacity next day, why burn it out a day before?
Will revise mistakes in past AM exams tommorow, good thing I marked them as “what? and why?” format with a red pen, making it really easy to skim through in a few hours.

Planning to read through summary notes / formulas in the morning and taking it easy for the rest of the day. Better to head into the exam without feeling drained..

I plan to re-revisit some of the tougher questions on my ‘revision list’ and make sure I have my game locked tight. Other than that, review notecards and maybe redo a few topic tests if the CFAI ever fixes the website.
My wife claims we went out to dinner last year before level 2, but I don’t remember that. I guess I’ll put that on the agenda, maybe it will help calm me down before the big day.

Friday - checking into hotel where exam is taking place. Reviewing some notes on challenging sections. Protein packed dinner. Popping a melatonin and getting to bed very early so that I can wake up very early and take the elevator down and crush this exam.

Exam is in a hotel? Weird.

Revising my notes too. Things like the behavioral biases, etc. Wont be doing much writing or questions, just reading and revising the parts I know I can get full points on if I just remember them well.

Have to drive to Edinburgh, check into my hotel (thankfully exam is next door), they have a spa etc so I’ll take advantage and relax. Only doing light revision Friday like reading notes n formulas. It’s my birthday on Saturday lol what a way to spend it, hopefully God is kind to me on this day!

Oh dear, the ‘momma of CFA exams on the same day as your birthday! Hopefully this birthday will be a memorable one!

So I’m assuming that it’s an ”Aye” for going through notes, rather than doing more questions?

It will certainly be memorable, hopefully for a good reason!! Personally I prefer taking it easy the day before with light revision but I know others prefer to cram. Whatever works best for you. Good luck all

I wanted to take sleep pills, seeing as I always have problems on getting to bed early for the exam. I didn’t sleep at all for L1, but fortunatley passed.
Will melatonin cut the lights out?

Not that effective , it helps more on getting good quality sleep .But it wont make you fall asleep like normal sleeping biils

My plan is to do some flashcards, a bit of ethics and gips so it’s fresh, full stop at 4pm. Then have a nice dinner, watch some tv, and go to bed early. Basically the same plan I had last year prior to the L2 exam.
(How it actually played out in L2…Crammed formulas ‘til 2:30am only to scream “I’m dooooomed” resonating through the neighborhood in the night.)

Some ethics and GIPS. Maybe some topic tests. Formula note cards. Haircut and oil change.
