Does anyone know of any potential questions for an upcoming energy interview in a couple of weeks (and good answers for them).

why are you still interviewing?

What happen to offer from JP in Houston?

Get familiar with the different areas of the energy sector (oil, natural gas, electricity, alternative energy, etc) and the different companies in those areas, and what affects those companies, and how the industry is changing or has changed in recent history. You'll probably want to look over recent news to see what affects the different areas of the energy industry (government regulations, geopolitical events, natural disasters, etc, underlying commodity prices, etc).

I don't work in the energy sector, so I can't really help with the actual questions, but hopefully someone else will be able to come up with some intelligent questions for you.

They will certainly ask you your opinion on the energy sector in general and you should definetly have a good answer for that.

I would know some of the metrics that are used to value E&P transactions i.e. $/flowing barrel and $/reserves.

It is also important to know how and why the natural gas and oil markets are different.

I wouldnt be too concerned with the metrics. I wouldnt imagine they are expecting an interviewee with no experience in the energy field to be too knowledgeable with the specifics. Thats why I said have some definite opinions about the broader sector. Know specifics for sure, but having an opinion and backing it up with factual and financial information will probably be what they are looking for.

Can you give me some examples or resources that I can review to help formulate some opinions???

I doubt your interview will be that focused. Knowing about energy is not going to really help you much unless you were once in the field pre MBA. I would not worry about it too much.
