previous sources for cfa ?

has anyone used 2010 version of cfa books for current exams ? my brother has his books from 2010-2011 and i don’t feel like buying new books. what are your thoughts ?
 
Don’t be cheap, just spend a couple of hundred for the latest edition. You’ll save a bit of headache as well by not having to decide which parts of the old edition is void and which topics are newly added that are not I the 2010 books.
 
Dumb idea. You get access to the ebooks when you sign up anyway, so if you’re too tight to pay for the hard copy of the text your best bet would be to just use the electronic version of the current material.
