If I’m comparing two CFA charterholders who are neck and neck otherwise, I’d ask, so how long did it take you and how many attempts. The guy who did it in less attempts is more impressive. If you told me you got the charter after failing Level 2 4 times and Level 3 2 more after that, I’m discounting those letters.
It’s like getting a part time MBA over 5 years vs the guy who banged it out in 2, what’s more impressive, all else equal? COmpanies know the pass rates of these exams, saying you passed them first time out is an impressive feat no matter how you slice and dice it.
