Q for all those who took L1 this June:
-How many hours did you put in a day on an average?
-Did you study sporadically (take > 2-3 days break from studying- this is mostly to assuage my guilt)
-Do you think you will pass?

1) about 3 on weekdays and 6-8 on weekends
2) Yes, I take breaks so I can concentrate. I also like to study different sessions so I don't get bore of just one topic
3) I really hope so, but I can't make an educated guess.

Are you sitting in Dec?
 
Thanks Houston, yes december. Just have a couple more questions for you:
Did you do fin/econ for undergrad?
Also, does your job need you to use fin. concepts?
 
My advice - Understand the concept. don't leave until you understand the concept!! Do not memorize.

I'm sure you've heard this before, its very important.
 
1) I did Finance & Accounting
2) Yes, I use some financial concepts covered in CFA. Not too much, but having job experience does help in CFA, atleast for me.
