Quantiles

I am not at all able to understand and interpret quantiles
How do you know that 3rd quintile is 60%? and 7th Decile is 70% etc etc..
Please help

A quartile is one-fourth part. A quintile is one-fifth part. A decile is one-tenth part. A percentile is one-hundredth part.
The first quartile is the lowest one-fourth: 25%. The second quartile is the next higher one-fourth: 50%. And so on.
The first quintile is the lowest one-fifth: 20%. The second quintile is the next higher one-fifth: 40%. And so on.
The first decile is the lowest one-tenth: 10%. The second decile is the next higher one-tenth: 20%. And so on.
And so on.

• Quintile is 5 or 100/5
• Quartile is 4 or 100/4
• decile is 10 or 100/10

and so on so
so you are looking for 3rd quintile? just ask yourself how much is : 100/5*3 = 60
