I found a definition for a range note on investopedia, but I still do not get the structure of how it works? Can anyone explain how range notes work in simple english?

I don’t see them in the current curriculum.
I suggest that you banish the idea from your mind. At least until June 5.
 
As a followup question, are structured notes created directly by the issuer or the investment bank?
Also, I do not get how issuing medium term notes with different maturities would provide constant financing cash flows for the issuer?
