Okay… so… the results have been mailed to most. Some are really happy and some are dissapointed. I seem to be on the darker side of the scale unfortunately. To be honest, I had limited amount of time to study, did not complete enough practice exams or mock exams but naivly hoped that I would pass…
Am I dissapointed? Not really. I would have prefered passing L2 as well and start focusing on L3 however the results show me that I still have a lot to cover.
I had used a website that provides videos covering each reading and gone through the EOC questions. I knew that I did not study enough and the result have proven my case. With enough practice, time and hard work this time around I am confident that I will pass.
My hope is to recieve some guidance as to how you would recommend candidates like me re-study L2.
Congrats to all that passed…
Good luck to all that failed (temporarily)…
All the best,
Can

Take a break.
Start studying in November. I wouldn’t read the curriculum. I highly recommend Elan videos though. Peter Olinto is THE BEST. Watch all the videos for a given section and then read notes from Schweser/Elan.
The order of sections that I would go for, and this is completely individual, is Equity (lots of overlap from L1 and the highest weighed topic), CF (again lots of overlap from L1 and other sections), FRA, Econ, FI, Derivatives, Quant, Alt Inv, PM, Ethics.
Once done, if you have time, do EOC and BB.
Mocks.
Passed.

Ensure your study focuses heavily on the big hitters: Equity and FRA. You hammer these easily and it’ll be almost a guaranteed pass next time round assuming you do a decent job in the other areas.
That was my change in study strategy on my 3rd attempt.

I would recommend not to neglect any area. I also failed band 10, have greater than 70% in FRA,Equity, Derivatives and Quants. I failed in Ethics, PM and Econ. rest between 50 and 70
