Are corridor bands useful also for the calendar rebalancing method or are they useful only for the percentage of portfolio method?

You can use a mix of both. So yes, they can be useful.
Calender can be a mandatory rebalance, or a period to check on the corridors.

rebalance after the market recrashes.. is ‘rebalance’ even a word?
percentage of portfolio doesn’t mandate daily valuation, it can be done at month end, quarterly etc. however calendar rebalancing means the whole portfolio is rebalanced.percent of portfolio might trigger a single trade in/out of cash.
