Received a confirmation for signing up for the Level 1 Exam?

So I just received a weird email from the CFAI congratulating me for registering for the Level I CFA exam?
I signed up for Level III when registration opened this week and received my Level III online E-books. I’m assuming this was a glitch in the system, but none the less I am following up to get this sorted out.
Has anyone else received this email?

I remember hearing a story a couple of years ago where too many individuals who passed Level II were posting on Analyst Forum prior to Level III Candidates receiving their results… They identified the individuals and they were “reset” in the CFA Program. Apparently they had to take Levels I and II over again.

Funny. You study your ass off to pass the exam, and then you go back all the way to the beginning.

Maybe you did so badly they sent you back to lvl I to be sure ?

I did also. I emailed them and they said they were sorry and corrected the error, but they confirmed I was not a Level I Candidate.

I think a theory about resetting a candidate status is a bit silly since there are a valid proofs about exact status as received e-mails about passing L1 and L2 as well as paid fees. Such thesis would be similar as you’ve been erased from your country citizenship.
