result is out (46% candidates passed)

passed and surprised
only 2 months (actually 1.5 months preparation ) for level 2 and still passed . neither done even a single mock test . only saw style of 3 or 4 question (means only saw how lenghty the questions come).
Seriously i can say that , if u give only 2 months thats more than than enough , no practice , no hard work , just basic understanding, that’s it.
i remember my exam day , i reached 10 or 15 minutes late at exam center and i was hoping that they won,t allow me enter ( i thought late entry is banned, but they allowed)
i don’t know how but i actually and officially a level 3 student now .
46% of candidates passed.

Dude, consider yourself very lucky. I believe 90% of the candidates with full time jobs and family cant do it in that time frame.
It doesnt meant its easy if you sailed it. Read stories of many candidates who put in 400-600 hours but still failed.

Yeah dude, I’m one of those people with and a full time job and family and it is really hard to study for the CFA.
For my single friends with no kids and a cruisy job…it’s a different story.

Actually both of you are right, i took last 1 month leave from job. And i am single. And level 2 is all about valuation, nothing more than that. You just have to know two things
one is compounding
and
another is discounting (in any subject in any topic ) to come up to the value of any thing.

I respect the people who came a long way in spite of the real life getting harder. BUT OP is not the case. Anyway congratuation on your unbelivable ability. I hope you can make it about next examination too using the flexing.

You’re quite lucky. In Frankfurt, where I wrote, a guy who came late by about 10 minutes wasn’t allowed to enter and was sent home…

we will see that Mr. REALLIFE You are also in Level 3 now and so am I.
And didn’t needed your respect , i was just sharing my hardwork and method of preparation.
I was having very less time for preparation for Level 2 , but for Level 3 abundant of time and oppurtutnity

GopalDutt you have huge ego sir. REALLIFE did not say anything insulting. Self-praise is for losers. Be a winner. Stand for something. Always have class, and be humble.

By the way: I confirmed with CFA Institute that that means 46% of candidates who sat for both halves of the exam; not 46% of those who showed up in the morning, and not 46% of those who signed up for the exam.

Wait, people leave after the first half? Seems the worst of both worlds?

Some do.
I’d imagine that it’s more common at Levels I and III than at Level II.

oK , MFEMSF i don,t know how to make sweet talks. No Ego problems but the way he said and the way you r saying u both are good writers.
Lets just stop the topic because it has already been diverted to class, humble, ego , self praise and what not…

S2000magician u have complicated the simplified topic .
46% obviously out of those who have given the full exam. i didn,t said anything about 46% in the topic earlier like 46% out of signed up candidate or out of 1st group or both the group.

This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever read. Congratulations on passing but implying that people only need 2 months, don’t need to practice, don’t need to take mocks and just have basic understanding to clear L2?
Oh, and you can show up late!
Hahaha, good lord.
L2 candidates - avoid this topic like the plague.

Another loser that will fall flat on his face on level 3.
