Risk of Using Pirated Schweser Notes Sold on eBay

And I suppose you bought from Schweser official channel? Is there any copyright-protection mechanism on your books? I found an 2009 electronic copy online, on the page right after the table of content, here it goes:
.”If this book does not have the hologram with the Kaplan Schweser logo on the back cover, it wasdistributed without permission of Kaplan Schweser, a Division of Kaplan, Inc., and is in direct violationof global copyright laws. Your assistance in pursuing potential violators of this law is greatly appreciated.”
Maybe some owners of the original Study Notes can shed some light on this?
 
May I know why? I am not promoting using that materials…. just asking practical questions.

and get past year schweser for free. its pdf so you can print them
they give deals for the current year too
 
Protip: If your are paying for pirated materials you are doing it wrong.
