What can one expect to earn in the boston area with either a cpa or a cfa and 5-6 year exp. I am still in college but i work full time, i was just wondering what i could expect to earn with a bachelors and mba with some sort of certification wheather it be a cfa or cpa. My experience is with finance/accounting in a manufacturing company.

thanks for your help

earn, what do you mean? gross or net? is this pre or post the benefits that your employer gives you? also, why do you say "a cfa" - did you not know that you cannot use the holy word CFA as a noun?

get him boys

Rrom what I have read here before, about 70-90K base + bonus. Having an MBA from a good school might help you in being around the upper end of the range. Same for having passed all three levels of the exam although full benefits will be only realized once you have the charter (requires 4 years of experience in investment management).

Great thanks for the help!

i just wanted a simple answer to a simple question

I think the main problem is that there's far too many variables to give a useful answer.

Hence your 65k-90k range!
