schweser 2005 notes

Would it be ok to just study off the 2005 schweser notes along with the ethics manual from the CFA website for the 2006 CFA exam? I heard that just book 1 is different and I don't want to shell out over $300 for one book.

Thanks for any advice.
 
Unless there is a level 2 or 3 that did that and passed in here, I don't think many of us can answer that.
 
I guess you have to link this with the LOS. If there LOS has not changed then i guess the notes should be similar.
