Hi fellow AFers,
I am just starting and finding it very hard to get into the habit after skipping the exam last year. I was thinking of registering for these classes to help me get organized and also help with the subject understanding.
Is anyone planning to take them?
Can someone who has taken them in the past share their experience/ cost benefit analysis

Thanks

I am taking the online classes, which start in 2 weeks. I like them because they keep me to a study schedule, allow me to emphasize and clarify concepts, and work as a good review source (archived classes) when I am wrapping things up in May. However, In order to take full advantage of the class, you need to read the material before the class. You will not learn all that you need from a 3-hour class. Good luck!

How far along are you with your reading, would you be done with all the material before the classes start? would you leave some to catch up between the classes?

I signed up for the online classes last year. You really need to have read the study session prior to class. I can’t stress this enough. The class is fast moving covering a large volume of material in each 3 hour session.
I wasn’t able to utlize the online class to its maximum as I did not have the study session read prior to class, hence I failed and am back for more punishment in 2012

does anyone knows if there is difference between the online class and recorded video series. and if so which one is better. and who is the instructor?

marc lefebvre does all the online classes. he only does a slim portion of the recorded videos. supposedly he is the tops for this stuff. dont know about difference in content.

Schweser Level 3 Online classes have been taught by Dr. Bruce Kuhlman over the past 5+ years. He is very knowledgeable about the material and how it is tested. He does a great job of telling you how some of the sessions can be tested jointly. He also goes into good detail on how to prepare for the IPS questions. However, as I pointed out above, you need to read the material thoroughly before watching the classes.
I have never used the videos, but I assume the live online classes are better because you can ask questions as the instructor presents the material and sample questions.
