Schweser Videos - Andrew Holmes

Hello,
I’ve heard very good things about the Schweser Videos for L2, especially the sections taught by Andrew Holmes. Andrew Holmes teaches Alternative Investments, Portfolio Management, Quantative Methods, Economics, and Fixed Income in the video series. I was wondering if using him for these sections + doing the CFA E.O.C’s is enough to cover these sections, and then read Accounting, Equity, Ethics out of the CFAI and do the E.O.C’s?

I agree - Andrew Holmes was the best of all the video instructors. With that said, i would still read each of the sections in addition to watching the videos.

He is a great instructor but, you really do have to read all of the CFA texts, besides how would you feel if you failed because you tried to cut corners?

Yeah you still gotta go through the readings. The video’s pose no frills simpler examples that give you a false sense of confidence. Don’t get me wrong the vids are good in making you grasp the bigger picture and building a great knowledge base, but there’s no substitute for the readings other than maybe Schweser notes.
