I studied slightly less than 100 hours for the Level III exam until about three weeks ago. However, I’ve had to drop studying for the exam because I have to pass regulatory FINRA exams that are more pressing. I probably have 0% chance of passing the Level III exam as I didn’t even finish getting through the Schweser books. Should I still sit for the exam on June 7? I probably would be able to study for 2 weeks max before the exam.
What would you guys do? Still sit for the exam just to get the experience? I feel like my mind would be blank on a lot of questions, I would just sit there and twiddle my thumbs.

If I were you, and if I really know I can’t pass because I don’t have enought time to study all the SS, I will just work really hard the private wealth management and Institutional investors part. I will sit on the morning session and I will do my best on those parts which for me are the most challenging, and see how I success.

Great risk reward scenario and so much less pressure than someone re taking the L3 exam..go for it!

Take the test. It will be good prep for next year and you will help bring the MPS down for everyone else.

Any reason not to try? Doesnt sound like youd be putting much effort into anyways. Whats the opportunity cost here?

I guess the only reason not to try would be that I feel that I would be wasting my time. Sounds like I should probably just sit for it just to get the experience and maybe gauge what band # I’m at given how much I’ve studied though. I’ll give it a shot.
