i've always been interested in finance. i got into an undergrad school that has a top 5 business program but unfortunately i didn't get in. it was devastating. CFA is my way of learning what I would've learned in school on my own.
i want a new job as well and the number one thing i was told on interviews was i didn't have enough technical skills/knowledge. this is my training.

I can say starting career as well, since I don't have any Finance experience... though I have some educational background in Finance..

i went to a top tier B-School, and trust me in the world of finance the CFA is much more valuable with regards to application and industry education.... the B-School just helps you network and get a foot in the door, that's a pretty expensive shoe at $125,000
the CFA is a lot harder as well.... ever hear of someone fail b-school? getting in is the hard part
I did some back and middle office in derivatives back when Salomon Bros still existed, then started a company and lost the last 9 years to it (at least that is how it looks on the resume). Thought my MBA would help; hasn't done much.
Majority of the people I deal with on a daily basis have these three fancy letters in front of their name - in their email signatures and on their business cards. So I thought it would be "cool" to join their ranks.
Also see it as a ticket to score a mba seat in a top school

I am 23/f/london, graduated with a masters degree. Started my job (in finance field but not ibank) 2 years ago, great colleagues, career/travel opportunities and pay is excellent.
No matter how much I love my job, its too "easy" - need a challenge!
