I am 27, MBA from a small school in FL (3.92 gpa), passed all 3 exams on the first try (waiting for work verification). I have been doing ABS work for 3 years for 2 fortune 500 firms. One was esotetric, the other is CC and Auto ABS. I also did work with McKinsey during my grad work, reporting to the president of my school. I have gone from a Jr. analyst to a sec'n manager in 3 years and I am very driven.

During my ABS work I have done deals, made the friends, gone to the dinners. At my current job I am more structuring on the back-end, but also negotiating some deals. It's boring and I can't stand reading legal docs for 12 hours a day. I need some quant work and something that utilizes the more analytical/quant part of my brain. This leads me to some dissatisfaction.

I want to go to the street, something on the research or trading side, something that is more demanding and interesting. I am starting to work my contacts, some at BB and other places. I know it won't be easy and I know I am in for a world of hurt if I get there, but I firmly believe this is what I was made to do.

I had a few tell me that since I didn't go to an ivy league I won't be able to break into the area, I disagree. However, I need to find some head hunters or other recruiting info.

Anybody have a good place to start? Anybody willing to help a driven person out?
