(Netflix) My favorite documentary about (by a few websites’ count, and I think I agree) THE hardest series of exams in the world. If you haven’t seen it… Watch it. Charterholders should (I hope) appreciate it and candidates (like myself) should find it as motivation. Obviously leads to some inevitable questions…

I don’t know…I’m not too impressed with the statistical distribution of sommelier salaries:

Even the best-earning sommelier has an achievable ceiling well-below the highest-earning CFA charterholders, so the so-called “difficulty” of the sommelier exam is not directly proportional to the potential earnings. This is true of many other difficult exams that exist for humans to take; not all of them correlate to where increases in relative difficulty equal increases in relative earnings.
