Great weather. Awesome regional economy. Spectacular nightlife scene. Everything you can imagine is an hour away (beaches, snowboarding, mountain climbing, almost everything, etc.). Good-looking wealthy people (movie stars, athletes, whatevers). Yup, the stereotype applies here. Anybody else here from Southern California, and if so, which city are you from? What do you do and which firm are you with?

You gotta love the SoCal egocentrism.

I once did recruiting at UCIrvine and was offering a trip to London and a typical surfer dude looked at me and said, "Why would I want to ever go to London? I live in Newport Beach."
 
Its amazing when I have a meeting with almost anyone from SoCal I immediately feel 100 times more intelligent than I am.

FYI: Most celebrities prefer not to stay in California. Only show their face for publicity. Only two types of people in the West coast - wannabe actors and beach bums.

I am in Ohio but we are interested in San Diego.

....we spent an hour last night watching a show about the 2003 wildfires that almost eliminated San Diego.....godd and bad i guess.

Yeah, must be pretty crazy with bars/clubs that close at 1am.
