Hi there,
Quick question. I understand how to do the calculations for both population and sample standard deviations, however am just having some trouble figuring out when the data set is a population… are there any specific words or statements that alert you to the fact it is a population?
Will most questions on the exam be for sample statisics?

Any data set must be a sample. The underlying population parameters can be stated in a question, but you can’t calculate precisely calculate the population parameters.
