Although usually by now I’ve completed my 1st read + qbank & even half way through second read/secret sauce, several crappy things have stalled my progress (1.) new boss/more work & (2.) an unfortuante personal accident, leaving me at R19 of Sch material (incldg vids, sch notes & qbank). Anxiety related to lack of control for these 2 factors have further worsened my health and friends have started suggesting to just take the test nxt yr since I can’t quit work, but I just want to get this over w/ so I can move on w/my life. W/<11 wkends, do you think I shld:
1.) Continue the detailed approach (i.e. watch vids since I’m a visual learner, read, qbank (at work whenever he steps away for lunch) and risk getting into early/mid-May before attempting my first mock (I still have to do eocs/bb);
2.) Take a shortcut, esp. since retention is usually low during first pass and go straight to vids/online classes + secret sauce to cover the material and then bang ?’s (eocs, qbanks, mocks).
I can see pros/cons to both and just need some fresh input/guidance. Thoughts and reason? Thx.

well, i do believe you still have the chance in control.
you can finish the remaining reading by the end of Apr and devote the hold May on practicing.
that should be enough. Actually, i am going on the way as i mentioned above.
compared to you, i didn’t even do the secret source or Qbank

You’ve still got 11 weeks to go. You can put in 25 hours a week for ten weeks, that’s 250 hours.
Then, on the last week, you can put in another 40-50, that’s 300 hours.
I don’t think you should be in panic mode just yet. Keep calm and carry on.

remember there are no shortcuts to CFA. you’re on the homestretch. sacrifice now for freedom next year

ok, so I guess I’ll just continue the detailed 1st pass rather than skip to a shortcut. Thanks for the advice - appreciate it.
