So as the title says, i’ve still not started… Just thought I’d throw it out there…
I’m getting a Nexus 7 for my bday, so will dl all the lectures onto that and start reading a bit too. I am so lazy at the moment… I think i’ve even forgotten HOW to study and HOW to remember stuff. I’ve not even created a sturdy plan or anything….
I did so well for L1 in Dec and then L2 in June….Now i’m not feeling the L3 nxt June…

GMAT in mid November. Party through year end and then starting to study after.

Same here. Was meant to start on October 1st. Got 6 pages or so done on Eqt PM and haven’t looked at it since.
What’s your excuse?
Here are mine:
1) Just started a new job about a month ago. Using all my free time to read up on stuff for this job. All my “care factor” is currently being consumed by trying to pass my probation period.
2) Just bought a new house, it’s a complete wreck and my wife and I are doing renovations with any spare time we have (which isn’t much considering we have 2 kids).
3) My wife hates CFA. She just isn’t encouraging at all like she was for L1 and prior to April 2013. L2 took a real toll on our marriage last year.
4) Feeling kinda burnt out. I’ve got so much else going on that it’s difficult for me to find the energy to care for L3.
5) I think I have less fear for L3 due to the fact that I feared L2 so much and yet I passed. I’m more complacent about this exam which doesn’t help.

I plan on starting in Jan and to be through all of the material and in Hard-Core mock exam mode by April. Toying with the idea of doing the 6 week NYSSA classes in May as a refresher… but have heard mixed reviews and am not sure if its worth my time.
I would start earlier, but who would be there to help the poor people of Los Santos?

Glad to hear I’m not the only one struggling for motivation.
I flicked through the first reading in behavioural finance but got bogged down with all the definitions and then tanked the EOCs.
Part of me thinks that its counterproductive to start half arsed just now but part of me doesn’t want to risk leaving it until January and getting onto proper question practice too close to the exam.

i am so glad i don’t need to look at the books anymore… haha ^_^
i love reading but i am happy to take a braek from it. i think BF is okay at least it’s relatable, i can picture my family or friends having those biases and i can use them as example to remember the terms.
But anything calculation based requires 100% focus.

I refuse to start studying earlier than 6 months before the test so if they ever turn L2 and L3 into semi-annual offerings (something I honestly deem pretty likely) I’ll have nothing to be upset about. So yea… Dec or Jan here. Not to mention I just generally don’t find much value add in studying things that far away from the test day.

i find studying now to be superfluous and totally unnecessary. the vast majority of people have not started yet—althought the vast majority of AF users probably have. That being set, i plan to start in november when the schweser books arrive. and i thought that was early….

I havent started.. Well i started to read few weeks back. 2 pages so far and i have completely forgotten about it.
Oct through nov are busy months for me as i have to write complete annual reviews and make presentstions for three companies each month. Still i somehow managed to squeeze some study time the same time last year when prepping for L1. Not this time . I cant remember how i did it last year.
i may end up buying schweser…. Wanted to buy roadbike as hubby rides one every morning and i badly need exercise. But more and more likely the money will transform into a box of schweser books.

Read 20 pages from the first reading of BF at the start of October, thenn work got hectic… Looks like the rest of October and most of Novemeber is written off for me.. will go hard starting in Dec..

Same here, and not even feeling guilty about it. Five to six months of organized, quality studying should be just fine.
I’ll be at peace with my conscience if I start in Dec or Jan, and I’ll give myself a gold star and a pat on the shoulder if I crack a book open in Nov. Anything earlier than that and I know I will a) get lured into a false sense of security; b) not set the right pace for myself.
Just like in golf: better to shorten your backswing than to decelerate at the ball.
