I have approximately 3.5 months with me to prepare for Level 2. I had cleared the level 1 in December ‘13 and hasn’t been in touch with the CFA curriculum since then. Been busy preparing for Chartered Accountancy exams last year. Now I have to start from the scratch. Any ideas or opinions are welcomed. I can devote full time to the studies, so considering this, please suggest some tips. Also suggest me the material that I should be following. Thank you in advance.

haha thank you Mr. Campbell. But if you could elaborate as to what strategy should I be following, that would be of great help for me.

Getting through the CFA Institute curriculum in that time will be very, very difficult. Not impossible, but not remotely easy.
You might want to look into the prep providers. I passed all three exams on my first attempt by using third party materials.
In any case, start reading Ethics in the CFA Institute curriculum. Whether you continue with the curriculum or do so while you’re waiting for other materials, you should definitely read Ethics from the source.
Bon chance!

Are you planning to start in the middle of February or something? I mean I guess you can…but why not start now and have 4.5 months to study? You seem kind of lost and unaware so for you the more time the better. I suggest you tip of starting now. Also, I would suggest you follow the Kaplan Schweser material…which is a concise version of the CFA curriculum. I dont understand your comment of starting from scratch…every level starts from scratch…everything you need for level 2 will be in the level 2 curriculum. Anyway, just overstudy so you dont have to take it again.

Skim the CFA material cover to cover twice while doing all EOCs both times through. This should give you a pretty good foundation on the curriculum and doesn’t take nearly as long as reading word for word. Then, start in on the mock exams. I used this strategy and was able to pass on a short timeline similar to yours.

well thank you. When i said that I have to start from scratch, I meant that it has been more than a year since i passed L1. And i havent studied for the L2 since then. And 3.5 months because I wont be able to start right now.
