Study Days?

Hi All,
I wanted to get a taste of what study days people are given by work to prepare for the CFA exam. Realise there may be a range… so can people give me a letter response?
a) No days, no free lunches where I work
b) 0-3 Days, just enough to read the ethics sections
c) 4-6 Days, Oh yes… just long enough to attend a music festival in the days prior to the exam
d) >6 days, I am not telling you where I work… it’s para… para… paradise.
 
Obviously, this is in relation to level 3 primarily… but likely the same for each level.
 
I got 3 extra days off, which I was pleased with considering we already have a generous vacation allotment. My former employer gave 0 days off.
 
Last year I took ” weeks off, my manager wzs generous (of course my client manager).. I failed band 10 last year..
This time I didnt take a single day off as I was in a new job and I had some visa processing going on.
 
Three days study leave granted by work. I took 2 from my annual leave to make a full week off.
 
In four different CPA exams and four CFA exams (failed L2 once), I was never given a single minute off of work to study. I used vacation for every single one.
My POS employer at the time didn’t even give me the morning off to take the CPA exams. I had to take vacation time just to take the exam.
 
Greenman there is no concept of study leave in India (atleast in the orgs I worked), its always been against the vacations I am entitled to in a year. in India, getting that approved by itself is a huge challenge unfortunately.
 
LOL time off. I got a trip to NYC the Thursday before the exam on 2 days notice. “No boss, I don’t really want to spend this critical study time cramped in the back of a MD-90”.
 
Study days? You mean extra days given outside of your vacation days? Or are you talking about sacrificing your vacation days to study?
You should be lucky if the employer even gives you one day of this thing called “study days” which don’t count towards your vacation days.

Thanks for the comments so far.
By study days, I am meaning days in addition to PTO to study for the exams. It’s different across companies, industries and geographies from my experience - and I am about to take on a discussion around study days for personal development in my company and wanted to ground myself as to what the general populis on here get as to help me frame the discussion in my mind.
I don’t agree that people should receive days of for conferences / systems training or whatever else and NOT for professional qualifications that develop an individual and improve their ability to do their job. It’s a cultural thing, and I understand that those afforded no days might not agree with me, but I want to lay the path for those after me at my company that want to pursue career development.
As an FYI I got 0 days for any level and used circa 7 holidays for each of the exam levels.

p.s some of the comments made me almost laugh in disbelief. I.e Titan, getting sent to NYC!? That’s sucks dude.
