Study for L II

I think what Schweser/Stalla will do is to make a concise package of study material. As you may find that, the author of Schweser is to follow straightly to the LOS and do a consolidation of all the reading and material, in a manner easy for the student to study. By doing this, it creates a value for candidates. No matter how CFAI change the required reading, the publisher will do the same.

The CFA curriculum may cover 100% of the material. But it may double your time to read. Schweser/Stalla may neglect something they regard unimportant. If the examiners set the question based on what Schweser/Stalla don't cover. I have nothing to say. But in my opinion, those third party study package already cover 95% of all the materials.
