Study group in London for Dec.'06

If you would like to take a CFA review course in England from an investment professional who also happens to be a CFA charterholder and an academic professional, you may want to consider the class that I teach at Durham Business School. The next weekend for class is in two weeks. Click on the links below for information on the course and my background.

My goal of teaching the course is to help students and young analysts. This is my passion. Also, I am looking to help Durham Business School and recruit people to our exclusive Applied Security Analysis Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the United States.

I joined the program six months ago because I viewed it as the best program in the US for training investment managers. It has a strong reputation, and despite its small size (a reason for its success) it (and the University) has a very high ranking in placing investment managers at Morningstar rated funds (Morningstar is the main rating service for mutual funds).

Contact me if you are interested.

Sincerely,

Kevin Spellman, CFA
Director, Hawk Center for Applied Security Analysis
Former Director of Research, State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio ($50 billion pension fund)
Former Adjunct Professor, The Ohio State University
Former Portfolio Manager, Members Capital Advisors

Hi ashtoush,

I have found two more people wanting to study. i am doing economics, having just finished fixed income and you?

Not sure if someone has attended CFA review course mentioned by Mr. Kevin Spellman and will it be scheduled again by any chance ?

I have read (not studied) all the books almost 70% {completed none}. My plan is to just have a initial walk thru' and later on move ahead with in depth study plan.
Its already september and tough to plan the amount of study !

Regards,
Malathi

Malathi, Mr. Kevin had sent me the sent me the details, I will check my mails today and post the details to this forum.

That sounds good strategy. I have just started and I feel that I am already late, so I think I have time for only one cycle of study/reading. I feel people who start early have definate advantage. But then it is also difficult to keep the pace (consistancy) for 6 months.

Thanks a lot.

I agree its difficult to pace for 6 months and put one self in frame.
I started reading (hence it was not studying but reading) for CFA to get a better opp. in banking not exactly to complete CFA.
But recently, I got offer from Barclays Capital.
Curernt situation is -> I have to study to pass --- Goal Changed :)

Waiting for details to be posted !

Regards,
Malathi
